After 10 weeks of challenges, catwalks, interpretation tests and funny moments, the jury of the program crowned the second Spanish drag superstar, winner of 30.000 euros.
The second edition of ‘Drag Race España’ already has a winner. After ten weeks of intense challenges in sewing, interpretation, comedy or even singing, it was time to decide who was the second Spanish drag superstar.
The finalists had a complicated task ahead of them and one of their most difficult challenges: writing their own verse and defending a choreography for a song that could take them to heaven. A finale in style that included all the contestants of the second season.
Finally, Sharonne has been chosen to wear the crown and thus proclaim herself the winner of the second edition of the ATRESplayer PREMIUM program. Carmen Farala, winner of the first edition, was the one who passed the baton and crowned the winner.
For ten weeks, the finalists have passed all kind of tests and have given all that they had inside. A long-distance race to win the 30,000 euros prize.
In this grand finale, the finalists were surrounded by all their teammates. Ariel Rec, Diamante Merybrown, Drag Sethlas, Jota Carajota, Juriji Der Klee, Marisa Prisa, Onyx and Samantha Ballentines accompanied Sharonne, Estrella Xtravaganza, Marina and Venedita Von Däsh on their most important night.
The decision, however, was in the hands of Supremme de Luxe and the rest of the jury members: Ana Locking, Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo. They had the final word once they saw the great show that each of the finalists had put on for their coronation.
Sharonne: “This crown is for the women of my life”
Sharonne stepped into the ‘Drag Race Spain’ workshop from day one. Pointed out by her teammates as one of the favourites to take the crown since the beginning, Sharonne has always said that she wasn’t certain about reaching the finale of the program.
“This crown is an award for all the time I’ve devoted to drag. I have been dedicating myself to this art for years and fighting for our rights. Getting on stage and saying that we are there because we deserve it and because they must listen to us,” Sharonne said once crowned.
“I have grown up among women and I am the way I am, and I am where I am thanks to them. I respect and worship them. I can’t find a better way than dedicating this crown to the women of my life, my sisters and my mother, who are the true queens of my life.”
Finalist of ‘Tu cara no me suena todavía’ and now winner of the second edition of ‘Drag Race España’. During two seasons she has been the MC of the show ‘The Hole’ and has performed several of its characters. She has achieved success in and out of Spain with her show ‘The big star show’.
