Reinas al Rescate’ is the new format in ATRESplayer PREMIUM, produced by Buendía Estudios, in which Pupi Poisson, Sharonne and Estrella Xtravaganza, guided by Supremme de Luxe, will visit several towns of Spain to bring visibility to LGTBIQ+ stories and show the reality of the collective outside the big cities.

In this road trip, the queens come to the call of several people who have asked for help: people related to the LGTBIQ + collective who need their support to convey a message of diversity to their environment: small towns in Spain. A poignant format with an important and revolutionary message behind each story.

Chapter 6: José Antonio (Campaspero)

José Antonio is gay and suffers from HIV, but he has never accepted himself because he has never found the support that he needed at home or at his hometown. His family is by his side, but his sexual orientation and his illness are a taboo that nobody dares to mention. In fact, he hardly ever speaks to his father and to his older brother. Alone and insecure, he feels unable to deal with the comments and gossip of his neighbours. He is only happy when he performs his drag show in Valladolid. He wants the queens to help him reunite with his family, regain his security and live freely in Campaspero. He will be accompanied on stage by his brother Rubén, something that José Antonio does not expect at all, and his cousin Alicia, a trans girl who lives in the same town with the freedom and acceptance that he is looking for.
