Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Raúl Arévalo, Isa Campo, Alberto Rodríguez and Isaki Lacuesta are the five directors who will be in charge of the five episodes of ‘Apagón’, the new original series Movistar+ produced by Buendía Estudios.

The series will begin filming in December and will premiere on Movistar+ in 2022.

Together with the scripts of Isabel Peña, Alberto Marini, Fran Araújo, Rafael Cobos and Isa Campo and under the creative coordination of Araújo, the fiction will tell the consequences of a solar storm with catastrophic effects on the technology of the planet. The series is inspired by ‘El gran apagón‘, the original podcast of Podium Podcast (PRISA Audio).

Synopsis

A solar storm causes an energy blackout that unleashes chaos in our society. The terrible consequences are unimaginable in a world as interconnected and dependent on technology as ours. The struggle to maintain order and adaptation to the new reality defines each of the five stories.
