‘Ángela’, the new production from Buendía Estudios Bizkaia with the participation of Atresmedia TV, is the Spanish adaptation of the successful British series ‘Angela Black’. This dramatic thriller follows a woman as she tries to uncover the true nature of her abusive and psychopathic husband. The production, which has released its official trailer, consists of six episodes, each 50 minutes long.

The new fiction stars Verónica Sánchez, Daniel Grao, Jaime Zatarain, and Lucía Jiménez. Also featured in the cast are Iván Marcos, Ane Gabarain, María Isabel Díaz Lago, and the young actresses Maia Zaitegui and Sua Díez, among others.

This thriller follows the life of Ángela (Verónica Sánchez), a woman who appears happy with her husband, Gonzalo (Daniel Grao), with whom she has two daughters. However, beneath this idyllic facade, Ángela hides a hell of abuse. Always under tension, Ángela’s fragile balance is shattered when she meets Eduardo (Jaime Zatarain), a former high school classmate for whom she feels an immediate attraction. Yet, with the help of her best friend Esther (Lucía Jiménez), Ángela discovers that Edu is not who he claims to be.

Sonia Martínez and Borja Echeverría are the executive producers of the series, with Montse García as the Fiction Director from Atresmedia. The series is directed by Tito López-Amado.

Lucía Alonso-Allende serves as the executive co-producer of ‘Ángela’, which features a script team composed of Sara Cano and Paula Fabra, with Jorge Blas as script analyst. Emilio Giménez is the Production Director. Leading the Art Direction is Koldo Jones, Teo Delgado handles Cinematography, and Luis Sánchez manages Sound. Fernando Guariniello oversees Editing. Mariló Serrano, Fermín Galán, and Saioa Lara are responsible for Makeup, Hairstyling, and Wardrobe, respectively, while Cristina Perales serves as Casting Director. Pablo Cervantes is the composer of the original music for the series.
