Synopsis
José Ramón Garrido is a former Olympic badminton player who survives by teaching physical education at a public school in Vallecas. Divorced and without hope, Joserra believes he has discovered in a school tournament the diamond that could turn his life around. Mar, a teenage player, might be the ticket that takes him closer to his dream of competing in Jakarta, the city where former players like him are respected like stars.
But Jakarta is very far away—especially for two strangers like Joserra and Mar. Together, they will have to learn to tolerate each other while embarking on a journey full of rundown inns, declining sports centers, and gas stations, passing through Totana, Ponferrada, Torrelavega, and Tardajos before reaching the Indonesian capital.
