1968. Esteban Guerra (Patrick Criado), a young executive at RTVE, discovers that a clear directive has come from the very top: Spain must win the Eurovision Song Contest. With no musical background but eager to climb the ranks, Esteban takes charge of the project and persuades the eccentric Artur Kaps (Alex Brendemühl), the mastermind behind the era’s biggest TV shows, to join the mission. Together, they launch "Operation Eurovision," a plan to find the perfect song and performer to present an image of a modern, open Spain to the rest of Europe—just as the government wants.
After months of navigating obstacles—including the infamous incident with Serrat (Marcel Borràs)—the result is a resounding success: Massiel (Carolina Yuste) wins the festival with her performance of "La, la, la." A victory built on a catchy chorus, a charismatic singer, and an unbelievable chain of accidents. This is the story of the unlikely (or perhaps not-so-unlikely) road to that historic win.
