‘Galgos’ is an original Movistar Plus+ produced by Buendía Estudios. A business and family drama that stars the Somarriba family and the Galgo Group, a food giant that has seen three of its generations grow.
The crisis in the sector, fueled by internal corruption, the pressure of private labels, the threat of new regulations that seek a healthier diet and the possible closure of the group’s oldest factory have caused a series of chain events that will shake the pillars of the Somarriba family. It is now when loyalty, love, trust and family will have to be measured against betrayal, selfishness, control and deceit.

‘Galgos’ has a renowned ensemble cast: Adriana Ozores, the Argentine actor Óscar Martínez, Marcel Borràs, Patricia López Arnaiz, Madría Pedraza, Jorge Usón, Francesco Carril, Luis Bermejo and Daniela Estay are the main protagonists of the series, which will be released soon.
Directed by Félix Viscarret and Nelly Reguera, the series began filming in September in Madrid and will continue until the end of December, touring different locations in Madrid, Cantabria and Brussels.
Synopsis
Carmina Somarriba (Adriana Ozores) and Emilio Somarriba (Luis Bermejo) are the heirs of Grupo Galgo, a family business specializing in pastries, chocolates, and baby food. The crisis in the sector, the imminent arrival of the sugar law and the lack of leadership of Emilio, president of Galgo since his father died, mean that the company is not going through its best moment. Gonzalo Díaz (Óscar Martínez), Carmina’s husband, after many years working alongside Emilio, has his own plans for the company, but a sudden and unexpected decision by Carmina causes a family and business earthquake that will also affect his children Blanca ( Patricia López Arnáiz), Guzmán (Marcel Borràs), Jimena (María Pedraza) and Julián (Jorge Usón). The struggle for power will separate them, and Carmina will have to choose between saving the company or her family.
