The dark comedy by Alberto Utrera, starring Paco León and Raúl Tejón, offers a reflection on fate and life decisions.
‘Uno equis dos’, the new feature film by Alberto Utrera starring Paco León, Raúl Tejón, Kimberley Tell, Stéphanie Magnin, and Adam Jeziersky, will have its world premiere at the Málaga Film Festival.
‘Uno equis dos’ is a dark comedy based on a true story that tells how two 40-year-old friends reassess their lives when they are about to hit a full 15 in the same game they have been playing since university.
In the words of the director, Alberto Utrera: “It’s inevitable to look back and think about whether the decisions we’ve made have been the right ones. To think about what our lives would be like if we had chosen other paths. What have been the mistakes and what have been the successes. These questions are very present in all areas of life, but in relationships, they are especially pronounced. Because knowing when love begins is something simple, but what about when it ends? How many of us stay with our partner for love? How many out of fear? How many out of pure habit? ‘Uno equis dos’ is a dark comedy that subtly poses these questions to the viewer through a very simple dilemma: If you knew you were going to be rich, would you change your life? The truth is, we might all be fifteen correct answers away from becoming someone else.”
Filmed in locations on the island of Gran Canaria, the movie is produced by Garajonay Producciones with Buendía Estudios as the associate producer.
