This morning, we presented ‘Física o Química: La Nueva Generación’ to the media, the highly anticipated continuation of one of Spain’s most iconic TV series, ‘Física o Química’. On February 16th, the Zurbarán school will open its doors once again with a new generation of students and teachers, bringing fresh stories, emotions, and a renewed perspective, while preserving the spirit that defined an entire generation.

During the presentation, Sonia Martínez, executive producer at Buendía Estudios Canarias, emphasized that the essence of ‘Física o Química’ remains, though with an evolution in line with the times: “Times have changed, but the emotions remain the same”. In the same vein, Carlos García Miranda, creator and executive producer, highlighted: “From the very first episode, there are tributes to the original series, but the resolution of the plots is very different because the times have changed”.

The cast is led by Rocío Velayos, María Bernardeau, Biel Antón, Kiko Bena, Miguel Fernández, Esther Mejorada, Santiago Garzozi, Julia Camus, Carla Domínguez, Biel Castaño, and Rocky, who play the new students of Zurbarán. Alongside them, Israel Elejalde, Itziar Miranda, Silma López, Cuca Escribano, Alex Sie, and Nany Tovar will bring to life the teaching staff.

Filmed during the summer at locations in the Canary Islands and the Madrid Community, the series will consist of eight 50-minute episodes. This is a production by Buendía Estudios Canarias in collaboration with Boomerang TV and the participation of Atresmedia TV. For Tedy Villalba, executive producer at Grupo Boomerang TV, this return is especially meaningful: “We are completely in love with the work we’ve done, and working with Buendía Estudios and Atresmedia is like working at home”.
