The South International Festival welcomes ‘A qué estás esperando’
28 October, 2024The series produced by Buendía Estudios Canarias, which is a hit on atresplayer, is celebrating its grand premiere in Cádiz.
‘A qué estás esperando’ is an erotic-romantic comedy based on the novels by Megan Maxwell, exploring the reality of two completely opposite—yet not antagonistic—worlds through the encounters and misadventures of two couples who fall in love.
The series delves into a profound exploration of the contradictions that love faces in the 21st century, portraying its protagonists’ quest for sex-affective dynamics that break away from the classic patriarchal standards that caused so many problems for their parents.
Adriana Torrebejano, Rubén Cortada, Eva Ugarte, and Francisco Ortiz bring the main couples of the story to life. The cast is rounded out by Llum Barrera, Mariano Llorente, Aria Bedmar, Ramón Pujol, Alba Planas, Pastora Vega, María de Nati, Ramón Langa, Antonia San Juan, Noa Álvarez, Manu Baqueiro, and Anna Moliner, among others.
The series is produced by Buendía Estudios Canarias in collaboration with Diagonal (Banijay Iberia) and DeAPlaneta, with participation from Atresmedia TV.
