‘Marbella’ will have a second season. Following the success of the first, Buendía Estudios Canarias has begun development on a new installment –created by Dani de la Torre and Alberto Marini– that will start production in the coming months and will later arrive on Movistar Plus+.

The plot will continue to follow César (the lawyer played by Hugo Silva), deeply involved in new problems linked to organized crime on the Costa del Sol. Alberto Marini is writing the series, where current events and fiction will once again converge thanks to the thorough research by journalists Nacho Carretero and Arturo Lezcano, who are experts on the underworld of crime operating in Spain. Their article ‘Marbella, world headquarters of organized crime’ provided the original idea for the first season. Dani de la Torre returns to direct.
