‘Drag Race España’ renews for a second edition after the success of its first season

Atresmedia renews ‘Drag Race España’ after the success of its first season in ATRESplayer PREMIUM. The Spanish version, which closed its first season with an overwhelming reception, has been renewed for a second season.

‘Drag Race España’, which landed on May 30, closed its first season triumphantly on July 25. The Spanish version is produced by Atresmedia Televisión in collaboration with Buendía Estudios after reaching an agreement with Passion Distribuition in favor of WOW (World of Wonder).

‘Drag Race España’ seeks the best drag superstar through weekly challenges and competitions. In each program, the contestants have to pass the different tests proposed by the team in order not to be eliminated and thus be crowned as the winner.

The Drag queens face photo shoots, dances, artistic challenges and musical performances to prove they are the best in their field. The final challenge always consists of a large catwalk where the participants show their best ‘looks’. To decide who is eliminated, the two worst participants face a duel that consists of doing the best ‘lip sync’ and the worst performance is out of the competition.
